Cavalier Cavalry - Khyber Server, DDO
The Level Grind.
Ok, this is written with the understanding that you have "Veteran Status" and a toon that can take advantage of it.
One of the most common things I've seen on DDO is the group looking for "favor". These people have concentrated on just doing the biggest XP quests in a n/n/n/n/n/h/e pattern and moving on. While that's ok for a quick-ish path to 20, to a degree, it means then you have to go back and do a bunch of content you skipped with no real interest in it what so ever. That's not how we kick it in the Cavalry.
Bring up your adventure compendium and look at all those quests. Just start at level 1, and do them all on normal. Bang, even at level 4, that's probably a bubble, and god knows it's no sweat doing Heyton's Rest with even a level 4 mechanic-build rogue. You should also do the explorers in Korthos Island, and check the rares when you run out to the quests.
Then do all the level 2 quests on normal. Still not much of a challenge, but you're building up favor like crazy and they still shouldn't be hard.
THEN go back and do all the level 1s on Hard. Finish Korthos rares. If you do slayer, polish of Korthos as quick as you can.
Now run all the level 3s on normal. At this point, you should be pushing level 5 blue barred.
Level 2s now on hard.
Level 1s on Elite.
NOW you're prepped for the big runs up. You've got the three tiers broken down, so all you have to do is grind 'em forward. Level 4 - Normal, 3 - Hard, 2 - Elite. Then roll into the next bracket, 5 - Normal, 4 - Hard, 3 - Elite... and keep pushing forward.
Eventually, if you have all the content, you'll hit a part you'll want to "break" from and move ahead because the penalties become a drag on your XP. I'd recommend not doing Catacombs (XP is good, but the pack is showing it's age...) and if you can find a opening group, 3 Barrel Cove (no real chain, so there's no big loots to shoot for).
Then when you finish Menectaraun at level 15, you're in prime condition to sweep Gianthold, Vale, Reavers and IQ for level 20. It took Ziggystar, who I used to develop this technique, 16 hours after Menechtaraun to cap. A little longer for Pfipher.
And be sure to look out for XP weekends, that's the time to grind!
